Here Be Monsters presents a reading of a new one-act comedy:
RED CHIP PAWN
Welcome to Red Chip Pawn, a pawn shop that sees as many big wins (and losses) as the casino across the street. Seasoned pawnbroker Dolly knows just what to say to convince her gambling-addicted regulars to part with their valuables, much to the chagrin of her good-guy assistant, Gale. When a wrong move puts the two of them on the bad side of a local mobster, they must work together to recover something of value from Dolly’s former business partner.
